Almost 38 weeks....

Uneventful appt today. I am 3cm dialated and 70% effaced. (last week i was 2cm and 70%) No contractions or anything going on....except for a yucky cold I am fighting. Not fun!

Crazy Dream!

My appointments are weekly now, so I go in again on Monday, May 31st.
I am so anxious to give birth & meet this baby! Last night I had a
crazy dream though! I had the baby...was in the hospital
recovering & was like "did I have the baby? I don't remember
anything!!" and the nurse said "oh, yes, you had the baby. She is fine
now...she just had to go to the nursery and be in the oxygen tent b/c
after birth her APGARS were 8/3!" So, they take me to see her & they
tell me on the way there that she was a HUGE baby & also that she has
a huge nose (LOL!...DH & I joked once about her nose b/c his is kinda
big & one of our early U/S pics made her nose look HUGE...I am sure it
was an arm or a shadow....but anyways, guess I was thinking about
that!) We get there & the O2 "tent" is like a tarp, and the "baby" is
lying on the ground...as big as a freaking toddler...like the same
size as my friend's 2 1/2 yr old DD who is a HUGE Chunker, 45 lbs!
This "baby"gets up & starts walking & I am like "that's my baby???
They aren't supposed to be walking yet are they?" I was so
disappointed! LOL! She had on pants and a t-shirt & sneakers!!!! Good
thing in my dream is that she nursed well! ha ha!

2cm dilated & 70% effaced. Now we just wait....and walk.......

36 weeks, 5 days

Nothing too exciting to post. I went to work yesterday, got sick & puked and was home by 1pm. I was sooo hoping it was an early labor sign, but no such luck. I feel fine now, aside from the usual aches and pains of carrying almost 20 extra pounds in my abdomen. God shined down on me today & they put me on call at work...so I am home again. It IS eating up my precious vacation days that I have been saving since December, but I am enjoying not having to work this weekend. Next weekend is my last full weekend at work & then my last day is Saturday June 5th.
I got hubby & our neighbor to hang up the closet shelving in the baby's closet last night! Yeah!!! Now I can hang her clothes in there and store all the extra diapers, wipes etc that I had piled up on the closet floor! Maybe this coming week I can buy the last little bit of wood "casing" that goes around the closet opening (decorative trim)& have our friend Joe hang it. He said it would only take about an hour or so at most. Then we will be totally done! (-:

Cute or overkill?

I can't decide. But I am leaving them up for now! LOL! I have some more that I plan to attempt to put on the wall by the window after we hang the shelf above the changing table....






Oh, and a 36 week belly shot....Up by about 17.9 lbs! All belly...or so I hope it is!

We finished the moulding and baseboards & door yesterday in the baby's room. Except for hanging some shelves etc, it is almost done! I started putting the wall decals on today as well....I have done some more since these pictures were taken, so I will have to get some updated ones of those tomorrow! It looks so good!

I have been wanting to buy the quilt clips from Pottery Barn Kids so I can hang the quilt up on the wall in Isabella's room...they are $34 on the website. I decided to check our local craigslist 1st, and wa-la...I am in luck! A lady is selling hers for $10!!!!

Baby Shower!

My awesome co-workers threw me a shower today! It was so nice!!! I need to find the cord to my camera so I can upload the pictures (silly me forgot to put the memory card back in the camera today, so all the pics that were taken are on the camera's internal memory...therefor, I need a cord...grrr!) Anyways, here are some pictures that I took at home as I sorted through stuff. I received several gift cards as well....thank you to everyone!!!!!!!

Drywall is being finished as I type.....

And I am so bored!! LOL! I have been home here all day pretty much, stuck downstairs, just trying to keep busy....playing on the internet, watching TV....but at least the drywall will soon be done! (-: I will have to post pics later today.

Ok, here are some pictures..... he will be back in the AM to finish up. As usual, they are backwards...the 1st pictures are probably inside the room itself, the last ones outside the room, in the loft.

New purchases!

I went to one of my favorite little consignment shops today & I think I have finally found THE take-home outfit! (-: It is pink & white, lightweight knit...by Tommy Hilfiger in a size 0-3 mos. It is so adorable & soft AND in excellent, like-new condition! I paid only $7.50 for it! Hopefully Shane likes it too!

While I was there I also found a crib sheet that looks like it was made for my crib bedding....$3.00!


Oh, and while I am uploading pictures of stuff...here is one of two wall hangings that I bought at TJ Maxx a few weeks ago, they match the decor so well, I can't wait to hang them up!

34 week appointment

As usual, it was a boring, uneventful appointment...but I shouldn't complain, I know! (-: Isabella's heart rate was 154 and my belly measured right at 34 weeks. Somehow I gained 6 whole pounds since my last appointment 2 weeks ago. That puts me up to a 19 lb gain so far. The Dr. said it was fine because my overall weight gain was in a good range. I ask about the size of the baby (since I have a history of big babies) & he said "well, this one seems to be more average sized"...so I am clinging on to that...maybe I will have a baby in the 7 lb range this time! Ha ha! Blood pressure was great...how is it that it seems lower than usual and my body is carrying all this extra weight?! But again, not complaining! I am so ready to give birth yet at the same time, it makes me sad, since this will be my last baby. And Lord knows they grow up so fast....I just pray this time around I don't screw things up.
