We re-did the master bath!

When we 1st moved in to our house nearly 5 years ago, the master bathroom was a stark white. I promptly painted it a deep, dark red. Well, 5 years later, we were sick of the red and wanted something lighter...so we chose "Open Sesame"...once up, it was a tad lighter than I had hoped, but it still looks really good! (-: Shane did most of the work.....(-:

31 week appointment

I had my 31 week appointment yesterday & everything looked good! Olivia's heart rate was 154, my iron level was still good, B/P was good, and I was measuring right at 31 weeks. The Dr noticed I had lost about 5 lbs since my last visit & I reminded him that I had started the Gestational Diabetes diet....nuff said. My sugars have been good, hopfully I can make it through the next 7 weeks! He mentioned that hopefully I will go into spontaneous labor at about 38 weeks...I reminded him that with both Peyton & Isabella, that is exactly what happened, so I am optimistic that it will happen again! He said "that would be perfect! Because we would hate to have to induce you, being that you have had 1 previous C-section"....I didn't ask, but it sounds like they don't want me getting anywhere near 40 weeks along...yeah!!!! Don't worry Doc, at about 36 weeks, there will be sex, and everything else that is supposed to get things going!!!!!! (-:

30 weeks 1 day

Ignore my pale, white, make-upless face! And ignore my amateur attempts at "enhancing" the photo on Lunapic.com! (-:

Gestational Diabetes

Today I had my appointment at the diabetes center. Looks like they will be treating me as a full blown gestational diabetes patient. I am on the mild end of it, but have it. My blood sugar was 132 about 2 hrs after eating breakfast....they want to see 120 ONE hour after eating. They also ran a blood test called Hgb A1C which tells them how well controlled your blood sugars have been over the past 3 mos...range for normal is 4.2 to 5.5....I was 5.5! She said it was probably lower at beginning of my pregnancy. so...I now have a glucometer and have to check my blood sugar 4x a day and record it on a form and fax it in every week. I have a meal plan to follow, I have to go in for a visit to their clinic every week! Fun! But it will be ok...the diet won't be too bad! I just hate that I have to fool with all this crap when I go to Las Vegas in 2 weeks for a girls weekend! Boo Hiss!
