More "new toys"

Peyton & I took our toys back to the lending library this morning. I thought he would have a fit parting with his "cycle" and the other things, but he did wonderfully. He even helped me carry them in to the library! Once inside, he was so excited and playing with the toys, he did not even blink when I gave the "old" ones back. He said "we get new toys"! And we did....a wooden train set, a book, a Wiggles movie, a school house set with a school bus....plus a few other things! Here is a picture from the camera phone...we did not get any farther than the garage when he started setting up!!

New Shoes

We ran to Wal-Mart to pick up a few things, and lo & behold they had "Thomas the Train" tennis shoes! I normally hate the cheesey character shoes, but just had to get these for Peyton, besides, he needs a new pair of tennis shoes! I have a feeling he will be sleeping in these tonight. He did let me take them off for a minute to put some socks on! So, here they are.....

Best Kept Secret in Union County

Yesterday Peyton & I stumbled upon the Union County Smart Start Resource Center, which is at the SPCC campus 2 minutes down the road from our neighborhood. This place is amazing....here is a link that tells about it:

We checked out a big wheel, a huge box of toy dinosaurs, 2 packets that had books and coordinating puppets with them for story-telling, and a big giant play mat/rug that Peyton adores...he tries to lug it everywhere he goes in the house! Here are a few shots that I snapped with the camera phone when we got home....it will be like Christmas for him every 2 weeks!

The House

I like taking pictures of the house every year to see how it changes, so here are a few from the other day! the side garden is what helped me keep my sanity back in April....we started it right around the time we got the horrible news. it really has grown.
