Happy New Year!

Wow! 2008 is over! I have to say, this year has not been the greatest. Overall, it had many highs and lows, but the lows were bad, well, the one LOW was very bad. All I can do is hope & pray that 2009 brings us all what we are wishing for as well as continued health and happiness. I have 3 wonderful children whom I love with all my heart & a wonderful husband whom I sometimes don't appreciate enough, and I am very thankful for all of them & the life I live.

I have been thinking of my annual "New Years Resolutions" and came up with a few...I only have one or two readers anyways, so I may as well put them all out there....and they are in no particular order, I am just rambling...

1. To get pregnant, have a healthy baby & pregnancy & deliver a healthy child!
2. To lose 20 lbs (but hey, if I get Pregnant 1st, this can obviously wait!)
3. Go to the gym at least 3 times a week
4. Get more organized at home & get rid of junk that we don't need nor use.
5. Take better care of ME!
6. Potty Train Peyton!
7. To save more money & spend less money

I also think if no baby by next year at this time, I will be done. We will take a trip somewhere instead, maybe back to NYC, maybe somewhere sunny & warm...like back to Panama...to ease my pain. I am missing NYC, so I will leave you with a picture of Central Park in the snow....

A little video...

A few more train pictures AND a video!

From Christmas #2. My daughter Meghan told me there is a way to lighten this movie up, so maybe later today I will have her fix it. Until then....I will post it anyways!!!!

Christmas Day 2008

Well, this year I had the luck of working ALL day, 7am til 7pm on Christmas Day, but it was not that bad....I know my patients needed me & I just kept reminding myself that at least I was not sick & stuck in a hospital bed on Christmas....so Shane & Peyton went back down to SC to eat steak with his parents while Meghan & Savannah went with their dad to Fayetteville to visit his family. LATE that night, after I got home from work I set out ALL of the gifts, even the ones Santa brought (wink, wink!!) and by about 10pm or so, the girls were home & Shane & Peyton were home & we had Christmas #2!!! It was an exhausting night and we were ALL up until about 1am!!!!

Christmas #1

So, on Christmas Eve we went down to Rock Hill, SC to have Christmas with Shane's family. This year they decided to hold this event at his BIL's Golf Cart Shop....so, here are a few pics of that evening......

updates.....

The Christmas lights on the front of our house are falling & looking a tad ghetto....Shane has yet to fix them.
ghetto lights
Also...in continuance of our Christmas lights issues, the tree now is striped, with most of it NOT being lit up. I guess I will have to trudge to Wal-Mart & buy all new lights & attempt to remove & replace the lights WHILE the tree is already decorated. Finally, ole Rudolph the light up Reindeer in the front yard has decided to only light up on his legs...nice!
This week the schools are taking advantage of my Faux "Stay at home Mom" status & have me working overtime for holiday crap. This morning it was muffins and 3 bottles of soda....
school muffins
Later this week it's a cake & plain store bought sugar cookies AND icing for the kids to decorate them! That stuff is expensive!!!!
Finally, Shane brought me an early Christmas present, ok, well ANOTHER early Christmas gift, as I deemed Marley the dog my early gift to myself or from him, whichever he preferred...my phone

What is the FREAKIN' Problem???

8.
Such an innocent little number.
Nice age when your kids are that age, mostly.
Nice time of night...good shows start coming on.
Decent AM time, not too early, not too late.
But 8 MONTHS of trying to get pregnant SUCKS!
That is a long time!
Women have conceived and almost given birth in the time I have been trying to get pregnant.
I am so tired of trying and FAILING.
I would give anything to be back in my 20's where I would PRAY for my period to start every month! Man, those were the days....so naive!
And to make matters worse, it seems like everywhere I look, people I know are now getting pregnant! People my age, 35. I want to say "Wait! that was MY idea! I started trying first! I KNOW it was, because you were giving birth to baby #1 when I was entering month 4 of trying!" Oh, and actually, to be perfectly correct, we have really been trying for 17 months. 17 MONTHS! Minus the 3 short, yet blissful, months that I was pregnant this past year.....ah!!!!! I thought I had actually DONE it! Joke was on me!
And the OBGYN says "just relax, it will happen. Come back in January if you still aren't pregnant..."
Looks like I will be going back to the wise OBGYN soon.
Meantime, my eggs are a-wasting and my fertility is drying up.....whatever, right!
