New Jeep

For Peyton that is! I found this tonight at the Goodwill....for $50. I took a gamble in that I don't know if it works, guess we'll find out in the morning after it charges all night!

Edited to say: After charging all night, the jeep did not work! So....I bought a new battery at Wal-Mart today and after letting it charge for an hour or so, tried it out...it works! Yeah! Now it just has to charge for 18 hours!!!

Savannah's Map Project

We have been working on Savannah's first 5th grade school project all week...well, mostly she has, I am just the idea giver! It is due tomorrow & here is the finished product...yes, it is named "Hollister Island" after the clothing line she WISHES filled her closet! Ha ha!

Peyton's Wallies

I bought a few "Wallies" yesterday to brighten up Peyton's room...we will see if they stay, he was already trying to peel at them!!!! But he is very excited and thrilled to see a "Tommy", a "big truck" and "airplanes" on his wall!

Blue bathroom

Meghan has been bugging me for awhile to spruce up their bathroom....I just have not been motivated! However, this week, I got a burst of energy & decided to go for it! I bought a new wall hanging with blue & green tones in it & then found a shower curtain at Target to match it...perfectly! Then, off to Lowes with the shower curtain...and we selected "Summer Cottage" as our paint color (a light blue color). At Ross, I found this great white shelf, it was such a bargain & so easy to hang! I also found a floor rug to match there as well! So, even though I still need to paint the tippy top of the room, it is almost finished. I would like to find a big giant Starfish to put on the shelf too.......

Adventures in Sewing

So, I have been sewing a lot lately...making all kinds of craft things....blankets, pillows, pajama pants for Peyton and even a pair of shorts for Savannah! This is so much fun, who would have ever thought that I would be doing this???

Veggies from the garden!

We have actually managed to grow & not kill some vegetables this year in our garden (although Shane came close to killing them the 3 days I was in the mountains last week...no water for 3 days, claiming that it rained every night! Ha!) Here is a picture that I snapped with the camera phone....we also had a big Zuchini, but I took that to my parents house.

Good Day!

Today we had a really good day! Peyton & I headed to the Aquatic Center at about 9:45, I worked out from 10 til 11:30...he played in the daycare room. He was actually very good in there, only cried for a minute when I first left. Then, we changed into our bathing suits & headed to the water park. Again, he was very god...playing in the water, sliding on the slide....until they started these ridiculous "adults only" breaks. All kids under 18 had to get out of the pool, Peyton was not down with that at all! But we managed....we went to the bathroom....ate some cheese crackers, sat on the cement by the lounge chair and cried and screamed, talked to daddy on the phone.....all while maybe 3 adults enjoyed the empty 10 acre pool area! Give me a break! Finally, they let kids back in and all was good. On round 2 of the "adults only" time, we left. We ordered up some Chick-Fil-A on the way home, him a nuggets meal, me a salad. We came home, ate, and I decided that since he was showing no signs of being sleepy, we would head to the mall. Meghan, who at 2pm had just woken up & was eating a bowl of cereal, said she wanted to go with us to the mall also. The picture to the right is the cute find of the day for Peyton.....
